Modern Foreign Language
‘Provide the opportunity to train the ability to communicate in French. Give the knowledge to appreciate and analyse individual Francophone cultures.’
GCSE French at Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls will give students the chance to improve their French language skills in four key areas: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.
They will achieve this through learning about a range of topics including personal topics such as identity, interests, career aspirations, while also engaging with some global topics such as celebrations, festivals and world issues.
This journey will allow pupils to appreciate and analyse not just French culture, but French-speaking countries and cultures around the world in Africa, Europe, the Americas and Asia.
