Welcoming the Year of the Wood Dragon: Celebrating the Chinese New Year
On February 10th, people worldwide will unite to observe the Chinese New Year and embrace the Year of the Dragon. Specifically in 2024, it will be the Year of the Wood Dragon, believed to bring growth, progress, and abundance.
This holiday, also known as the Lunar New Year in some regions, is widely celebrated across China, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. Festivities kick off with the Spring Festival, running until February 24th, and culminating in the Lantern Festival.
At WPSfG we marked Chinese New Year on Thursday, February 8th, with a delightful lunch menu catered by our catering company. The menu included sweet and sour chicken, black bean Quorn noodles, Chinese fried rice, Asian-style vegetables, and toffee apple cake.
Here are some snapshots we took of the delicious menu served at the Girls' school yesterday.
