Poly Parent morning is a forum where we invite parents/carers every half-term to come into our school to meet with other parents and staff to share information in an informal way that will benefit your child.
The focus of this meeting is to share the Personal Development (PD) curriculum that is taught in school, with specific focus on Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) in order to ensure parents/carers are fully informed on what is being taught and when, as well as an overview of statutory requirements. We are also aware that some parents cannot attend during the day, so we will repeat this session after school at some point this term, date and time to be confirmed.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible that are able to make it.
Kind regards,
Mrs R Brown
Pastoral Administrator/Student Support
29 members of staff at Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls have signed up to take part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
They will be undertaking this challenge on Saturday 15th July 2023.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is 24-miles (38.6km) round trip route and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres), usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These hills form part of the Pennine range and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
'We have a physical challenge for staff each year and this year we are taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks. It is a great way to improve our mental health and working together to overcome physical and mental barriers. It will give each individual and the team a great sense of achievement!' - Ms Williams, Head of School
This is a fantastic challenge that our staff have chosen to undertake, and we could not be prouder of them.
Some famous faces at the London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April sent their well-wishes and words of encouragement that we thought we would share with you!
